ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:
- Owners & Mechanics should be certified by the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
- Not required for employees only performing oil changes.
- Body Shop Owners should have Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) certification.
- Written or database records of work performed & replacement parts used. Daily back up of files.
- Checklist used for compliance with state inspection or emissions testing
- Customers not allowed in work area, do not stay in cars while being repaired
- No smoking allowed in work areas
- Written estimates for repair work
- No guard dogs
- Proper storage & disposal of flammable substances in compliance with NFPA 30 Flammable & Combustible Liquids code
- Paint Booths & Drying Chambers must meet NFPA 33 standards & Drying chambers must have emergency shutdown system
- Fire extinguishers located in repair areas & serviced annually. Compliance with environmental quality regulations
- Vehicles left overnight must be in a secured area. Customers’ keys must be stored in a lock box or secured location.
- If Insured sells gasoline or has gasoline storage tanks a pollution liability policy is required
